Senior Controller (m/f/x) – Part-Time (20h - 30h/week, Remote)

The Position

We create products and software tools for anyone looking to get started in the world of live streaming. Founded in 2018, our mission has always been to collaborate with streamers and make the streaming universe more vibrant. We give every creator the opportunity to bring out the best in themselves and their content.

We’re growing fast and that means our numbers need to be just as sharp as our products.
We’re looking for a Senior Controller who loves turning data into clarity and helps leadership make smart, confident decisions. You’ll work closely with our founders and team leads, build structure where it’s needed, and keep enough flexibility to move fast.

Duties

  • Build a modern financial controlling, reporting, and forecasting setup from scratch for different projects within two companies located in Austria and Germany, without any pre-existing systems or processes.

  • Build and continuously improve budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans

  • Analyze actuals vs. budgets, spot trends, and flag risks early

  • Define and track KPIs that actually help the business grow

  • Prepare clear, decision-ready management reports

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and yearly closings

  • Improve and automate controlling tools and processes

  • Work closely with founders, product, marketing, and ops

  • Make sure our numbers are clean, reliable, and transparent

Requirements

  • A degree in Business, Finance, Controlling, or Accounting

  • 5+ years of experience in controlling or finance, ideally in a fast-moving environment

  • Strong hands-on skills in budgeting, forecasting, and KPI-driven steering

  • Excellent Excel / spreadsheet skills (you’re faster than most)

  • You like ownership, autonomy, and getting things done

  • A sharp analytical mind and a strong business instinct

Great to have

  • Superb communication skills. 

  • Fluent in German and English.

  • Ability to contribute and work within a creative environment.

  • Experience in SaaS, e-commerce, or digital products

  • Familiarity with BI tools or data analytics

  • Basic SQL or database knowledge

  • Interest in gaming, streaming or the creator economy

  • Startup or scale-up background

Compensation

Annual gross salary for this position ranges from €65,000 to €85,000 (full-time), with willingness to offer a market-aligned overpayment depending on qualifications and experience.

Deine Aufgaben

  • Aufbau eines modernen Financial-Controlling-, Reporting- und Forecasting-Setups von Grund auf für verschiedene Projekte innerhalb zweier Unternehmen in Österreich und Deutschland – ohne bestehende Systeme oder Prozesse

  • Erstellung und kontinuierliche Verbesserung von Budgets, Forecasts und langfristigen Finanzplänen

  • Analyse von Ist-Zahlen im Vergleich zu Budgets, Erkennen von Trends und frühzeitiges Aufzeigen von Risiken

  • Definition und Tracking von KPIs, die das Geschäft wirklich voranbringen

  • Erstellung klarer, entscheidungsreifer Management-Reports

  • Unterstützung bei Monats-, Quartals- und Jahresabschlüssen

  • Verbesserung und Automatisierung von Controlling-Tools und -Prozessen

  • Sicherstellung sauberer, verlässlicher und transparenter Zahlen

  • Enge Zusammenarbeit mit Foundern sowie den Bereichen Produkt, Marketing und Operations

Was du mitbringst

  • Abgeschlossenes Studium in Betriebswirtschaft, Finanzen, Controlling oder Rechnungswesen

  • 5+ Jahre Berufserfahrung im Controlling oder Finanzbereich, idealerweise in einem dynamischen Umfeld

  • Ausgeprägte Hands-on-Erfahrung in Budgetierung, Forecasting und KPI-basierter Steuerung

  • Hervorragende Excel- bzw. Spreadsheet-Kenntnisse (du arbeitest schneller als die meisten)

  • Starkes analytisches Denkvermögen und ausgeprägtes Business-Verständnis

  • Du magst Verantwortung, Autonomie und Dinge aktiv voranzubringen

Great to have

  • Sehr gute Kommunikationsfähigkeiten

  • Fließende Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse

  • Fähigkeit, in einem kreativen Umfeld mitzuwirken

  • Erfahrung mit SaaS, E-Commerce oder digitalen Produkten

  • Kenntnisse in BI-Tools oder Datenanalyse

  • Grundkenntnisse in SQL oder Datenbanken

  • Startup- oder Scale-up-Erfahrung

  • Interesse an Gaming, Streaming oder der Creator Economy
